Dr. Neil Pollock
At Gentle Procedures Toronto circumcision clinics, we use the Pollock Technique™ for circumcision procedures.
Our doctors, Dr. Roland Sing and Dr. Amith Mulla, have been certified in the use of this circumcision technique by Dr. Neil Pollock.
Extensive pain control methods are employed; including Tylenol, sugar solution (which has been shown to reduce pain perception in babies), soothing music, topical freezing cream, and a long acting anesthetic.
The Pollock Technique™ for circumcision makes your son’s comfort a priority. The goal is to perform the circumcision procedure with a minimum of stress for parents and baby – and the same philosophy is applied to adult circumcision procedures.
Please contact us today for more information, or to schedule a circumcision appointment, and please read on below for more detail.
Is Our Doctor’s Circumcision Method Like Plastibell?
The Pollock Technique™ can be used for babies, boys, and men of all ages, and consists of using a Mogen clamp under long-acting anesthetic.
This method is different from the Plastibell procedure in that it is faster and there is no device left attached to the penis after the surgery.
Our circumcision doctor performs Pollock Technique™ circumcisions for adult men, and for babies up to 12 months old. The Pollock Technique™ circumcision operation takes only one minute for newborns – and about 5 to 10 minutes for adults.
Pollock Technique™ circumcision is a virtually painless procedure.
Only local anesthetic is needed (in infants) and recovery time is relatively fast. Our method is quick, and has proven effective over the past 25 years and over 60,000 procedures. This is one of the reasons why so many Toronto doctors refer their patients to our circumcision clinic.
